Get the most out of your magnetic board

Choose a smooth, dry wall without any irregularities – e.g. felt wall. Avoid high-gloss, hard-wearing paint, sawdust wallpaper, glass fabric, mirrors, glass and cracked surfaces. Wait 30 days before installing if the wall is freshly painted.

Damp, cold rooms (e.g. basements) are not recommended.

If the wall is not suitable, use a thin MDF board as an alternative.

How to set up your magnetic board

1. Test the wall
Set the test piece up for 24 hours.
Is it stuck? Then the wall is ready! If not, contact us and get a return label. Send it back in the same packaging.

2. Prepare the board
Roll out the board with the back side up and place some heavy books on top.

Let it lie flat until the board is completely flat, so that it is completely level. There should be no "curls" of any kind on the board.

3. Setup
Clean the wall with isopropyl alcohol to remove grease and dust. This part is very important as a little grease or dust can prevent it from sticking properly.

Remove the blue film a little at a time and press the board against the wall with a book wrapped in a tea towel.

Press thoroughly and evenly - this will ensure the best adhesion.

TIP: To ensure that the board stays on the wall, tape can be applied as shown in the picture below for 48 hours. This also helps ensure that the board sticks to the wall, as the adhesive becomes stronger over time.

If there are any problems with the board, please contact us at kontakt@ayava.dk and we will of course find a solution together.
